This past weekend was my college reunion (3 years, gasp!) where I retreated to Portsmouth, NH, with my best friend to reunite with old friends. You can only imagine the panic that set in as I searched for the perfect dress to wear that was both confident & comfortable. I have been beyond busy that I relied on my trusty friend, online shopping, to find a dress. I ordered four, FOUR dresses that arrived at my door-step the day before, & didn't like ONE. I ran to the mall & found this cute crochet number at Lord & Taylor. To compliment my date's black & white ensemble, I paired it black accessories, & kept the hair & make-up as simple as they come.
It was the perfect dress that transitioned from formal to casual, when we hopped from the function hall to the bar. I love the unexpected gold detailing found in the belt, the fact that it hugged & flared at all the right places, & that it was the perfect pop of color as we rush into fall.
