NYFW has arrived which means I am back in NYC, running back & forth in this horrid heat from blog events to fashion shows & dinner with girlfriends in between. I was fortunate enough to be asked to cover a Fashion Week Kick-off Party (from a style blogger perspective) on Thursday hosted by 404 NYC & Elite Magazine. I was able to sit front row next to huge publications, such as Glamour Magazine & the Washington Post, which was a dream in itself. Designers Bradley Douglas Jordan & Oscar Utierre put on a fabulous show – sending sheer dresses, silk high low hemmed tank tops, & cape like cardigans down the runway. Best of all, proceeds from the event went towards the Generation Ubuntu charity, which helps to improve the health & wellbeing of South African children suffering from HIV.
Not to mention, I was able to cross career paths with my best girlfriend Julie, who is a top pastry chef in NYC at Mint Catering. It was an awesome experience being able to blog a fashion event while J was behind the scenes whipping up delicious desserts for all of the guests. To see how far we come is truly magical & NYFW reminds me of it every time.
After 4 days of NYFW, my trip is quickly coming to an end but take a peek at my busy weekend on Instagram here & keep an eye out for more FW posts!
