Wearing: Gap Wavy Knit Sweater | Zara Skirt (similar at Target) | Steve Madden Norri OTK Boots | Banana Republic Italian Leather Crossbody (similar at Macy’s)

Living in California has it’s pros & cons. Pro? It’s rarely cold enough to wear a turtleneck. Con? It’s rarely cold enough to wear a turtleneck. Now that I’ve experienced two winters in California, I’ve realized that the majority of people tend to dress for the cold even though it’s not necessarily cold. So, instead of continuing to rock sleeveless dresses & sandals to the office like a fool, I stepped it up this winter & invested in some thicker sweaters & cute boots (sans tights, duh).

I saw this sweater at Gap & with a coupon, this baby only cost me $18. Not to mention, it’s not heavy & itchy like most turtlenecks are. This one from J Crew is almost identical. I wore a casual rendition of this outfit to my company’s Christmas party but swapped out a flat OTK with these sexier boots from Steve Madden.

You can shop my exact look below & I am a bit behind, but there will be a recap of 2016 coming at you soon!
